Nozomi Matsunami, M.A., BCBA

Behavioral Program Director & Center Manager

Nozomi discovered her passion for working with the special needs community through an internship with Special Olympics. She instantly felt moved by each child’s unique personality and interests and was curious to learn more about children with autism. Nozomi first joined the ABA field in 2017, with a focus on naturalistic methodologies. After working as an RBT for several years, she decided to pursue her Master’s Degree and BCBA certification in ABA!

As a BCBA, her goal is to make learning as natural and fun as possible through play, and to empower kids to become the best versions of themselves. Within the field of ABA, she has naturally gravitated toward Early Intervention and is inspired to help learners develop their communication, play, and social skills. Nozomi has experience working with clients from the ages of 2 years to 16 years, and has worked in homes, daycares, schools, and community settings. She believes active and meaningful parent involvement leads to a strong foundation for early learners and strives to provide as much support for families as possible. Nozomi truly values interdisciplinary collaboration, and aims to create holistic behavior plans and classroom support plans that reflect the needs of each unique child and environment.

In her free time, she enjoys being out in the sun, spending time with her family/friends, browsing farmers markets, and hiking through California's State Parks!
