Danielle Tristan, M.Ed., BCBA

Senior Behavioral Program Director

Danielle began working as a behavior interventionist in 2014 and acquired her BCBA certification in 2020. She continues to develop and implement client centered therapy for children and adolescents diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental abilities in clinic, school, community, and home based settings.

Her continued professional growth has led her to become passionate about autonomy, functional communication training, and teaching functional skills that lead to a better quality of life. She aims to collaborate with families to ensure that she is prioritizing the best quality of life on a day to day basis with careful consideration of client progress and caregiver priorities. She is most passionate about actively contributing to the initiative to shift the field to a more humanistic approach. While maintaining professional boundaries, she focuses on building rapport to ensure that she highlights current skill repertoires and strengths. By doing so, she carefully removes verbiage focusing on deficits, disabilities, and noncompliance.

In her spare time, Danielle enjoys cooking, creating content for her dogs’ instagram, spending time with her family and friends, dancing, and singing along to her favorite songs.
